Kardan University’s Department of Journalism, in line with the university's vision of excellence, is determined to comply with the new curriculum – to produce talented professionals committed to providing awareness, reporting updates on the current issues, and positively influencing the society. The Department aims to equip its students with new journalistic skills to nurture their writing, critical thinking, and ability to build networks with different segments of the society. During the past semesters, students have gained practical insights into the mass media, including both print and electronic media outlets.

The Journalism Department offers three streams of specializations; ‘Radio-Television’ and ‘the Modern Media’, for which selection takes place during the senior years of the program.

Kardan University pursues the international standard, Credit-Based System (CBS). Under CBS, students can select the number of courses based on their specific financial or other preferences. CBS allows students to boost their academic and professional capabilities, as well as offers the chance to learn time management and other essential skills as they learn and grow.
